Light Up Louisville
The City of Louisville’s official kickoff to the holiday season, transforming downtown into a festive, family-friendly celebration centered around the annual tree lighting. Hosted by Mayor Craig Greenberg and Louisville Metro Government, and powered by LG&E/KU, the event brings thousands of residents and visitors downtown each year for an evening of holiday magic, community connection, and seasonal tradition.
As the event’s production partner, J Wagner Group leads full-scale planning and execution - overseeing full event operations, staging, parade coordination, vendor management, sponsor integrations, and on-site logistics. Since taking over in 2024, our team has worked hard to continue to elevate this event to make it bigger and better than ever before - bringing an immersive video-mapping show, dozens of local craft and food vendors, immersive sponsor activations, free family activities, visits with Santa and friends, and so much more.
With strong attendance, high-impact brand partnerships, and a growing footprint each year, Light Up Louisville continues to be a cornerstone event for the city. We’re proud to help bring this holiday tradition to life and are already looking ahead to making next year even brighter.
